Concord - The Crest Chargers traveled to Concord looking for their 31st straight victory, and they also looked to move on to the State Championship game in Chapel Hill. The Chargers accomplished both goals in dominating fashion winning the 3AA Western Regional final.

Concord won the toss and elected to deffer it's option to the second half. Crest took possession at the Concord 43, two plays later Tyshun Odom took a pass from QB Willie Green, and rolled 37 yards for a score, the PAT was no good, but Crest lead 6-0. Concord moved into Charger territory but a holding penalty backed them into a 3rd and 25, the Chargers held and forced a Concord punt, that rolled dead at the Crest 8. Crest running-back Tre Harbison took the hand off from Green and promptly, torched the Spider defense for 93 yards, giving Crest a 13-0 lead and the route was on.

Crest forced another Spider Punt, took possession, and moved down the field on behind the arm of Willie Green. Green looked to have a wide-open Harbison on the wheel route, but Harbison dropped a sure TD. Crest's Evan Davis nailed a 30 yard field goal giving Crest a 16-0 lead.

In the second quarter Crest relied on Harbison's legs to move into Spider territory. Willie Green dropped back to pass and hit Cameron Peeler for 42 yards down to the Concord 1. Harbison would take it in from there, and give the Chargers a 23-0 advantage. With a little over a minute to go in the half Green found Odom again in the flats, Odom made the first man miss, and plowed in from 20 yards out, making the halftime score, Crest 30 - Concord - 0

In the second half Concord took the kick-off and methodically, moved down the field. Concord would finnally punch it in from 1 yard out as Dez Scott punched it in giving Concord its only TD of the game. Concord went for two but Crest would have none of that. Crest 30- Concord  6

We move to the fourth quarter. Crest took a 37-6 lead as Devante Huskey took a short pass from Green and rambled 37 yards for the score. Crest ended the scoring later in the quarter when Malik Hopper intercepted a pass and took 85 yards to the house making the final Crest 44 - Concord-6

Crest will travel to Chapel Hill next week where they will play the Southern Durham Spartans for the 3AA Championship.
