Bessemer City - Cherryville had a quick turnover at midfield and the Jackets mounted a drive that consist of pass interference call to get deep into Ironmen terrritory in the red zone. Jackets fumbled and Ironmen mounted an impressive ground attack rest of thel night.Cherryvile goes on to win 34-14. See photos from the game here. Video Highlights here.

East Lincoln rolled over Bessemer City  with a 41-12 victory. Garrett Young threw for 300+ yards again with 5 touchdowns and the final one to Jessie Earnhardt.  Cory Petersen connected on 5 extra points. Congrats too Katie Huffman who was named Homecoming Queen. Young now has 16 touchdowns with no Interceptions

 Forestview continues to look impressive with another win over Bessemer City 49-16. Logan Bradley, Mykelti Armstrong, Calvin Johnson, Tristan Buchanan and Kameron Timmons were the leaders for the Jags atttack. 

  Bessemer City had a 70 yd punt return for TD and Assante Sanders catches TD pass for the Jacket only scores

  Logan Bradley finds Mykelti Armstrong for a 10yd TD and then Calvin Johnson with a TD. Mykelti Armstrong catches his 2nd TD catch. Moe Neal has a  55 yards rushing TD. Tristan Buchanan forces a QB Fumble, and Kameron Timmons takes the fumble in for a Defensive TD. Isaiah McKaskill blocks a Bessemer City punt and the very next play Mykelti Armstrong scores again. Mykelti Armstrong scores for the last time on a 5yd catch.

  Forestview hosts the Lincolnton Wolves next week while Bessemer City travels to East Lincoln.

Bessemer City-Lincolnton and Bessemer City were tied for conference lead coming into this game.  If there were any doubts who would win this game Lincolnton answered that question quickly.  Lincolnton scored three first quarter touchdowns for 21-0 lead.  With 8:53 left in the quarter Michael Cunningham scored on a 22 yard run.  With 5:39 left in the quarter Lincolnton scored on 37 yard run by Dee Littlejohn.   Patrick Rendleman threw a 44 yard pass to Jonathan Gidney for the last score of the quarter with 3:10 left.  In the second quarter Dee Littlejohn scored his second touchdown of the night on a 18 yard run with 8:37 left in the half.  With 4:14 left in the half Rendleman scored on a 6 yard run.  3:20 left in the half Littlejohn scored on a 37 yard run making the score 43-0 at the half.  The Wolves defense was tough in the first half.  Bessemer City had 4 yards on 23 plays and 2 first downs.  On the first play of the second half Cunningham scored on a 51 yard run making the score 51-0. Bessemer City scored their first touchdown on Jhalen Adams 11 yard with 2:23 left in the 3rd quarter making the score 51-7.  With 30 seconds left in the third Rendleman scored on a 25 yard run. The score at the end of 3rd quarter Lincolnton 57 Bessemer City 7.    Bessemer City added another score with 8:37 left on a Adams 25 yard run.  Final score Lincolnton 57 Bessemer City 14. The Wolves had 305 yards rushing and 63 passing.   Dee Littlejohn led the Wolves with 12 carries for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Michael Cunningham had 2 carries for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. Patrick Rendleman had 4 carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns. .   The defense held the Yellow Jackets to 105 yards rushing and 39 passing.  Lincolnton now has sole possession of first place in the SPC.  Lincolnton is now 8-1.  Next week Lincolnton will be at home against North Lincoln.
